Classic Alaska Charters is OPEN for business again in 2021!
CAC began official operations under the CoVid 19 pandemic on June 6th, 2020 at 12:01 am when the 14 day quarantine for ALL travelers to Alaska was lifted and the mandatory CoVid 19 testing of ALL travelers began. Our chef/stew/crew arrived on the very first flight into KTN and was one of the first travelers to be tested under that Traveler Mandate that “opened” Alaska for business. CAC had pre-emptively rescheduled 3 out of 4 June trips out of an abundance of caution to later in the season and 2021. However, beginning the last week of June thru the end of Sept we were fully booked and chartered every single week! We were able to complete our 2020 season at 85% of our normal season schedule thanks to the protocol recommendations we put in place to comply safely and and smoothly with traveling to Alaska. CAC did not have a single guest test positive prior, during, or 14 days after their Alaska adventure in 2020. Captain and chef/stew/crew also remained negative all season long and even after the season. This is a true testament to the effectiveness of the protocols in place for Covid 19 testing, and our CAC Covid 19 Mitigation Strategy. We will continue this “strategy” and plan through the 2021 season until further notice otherwise.

CAC has a season tested “CoVid 19 Mitigation Plan” in place in order to operate safely in a CoVid 19 free environment aboard the Saltery “C”. Guests are “advised” by the State of Alaska to have a CoVid 19 test within 72 hours of departure to Alaska. This test procedure, or proof of vaccination, will continue to be “mandatory” for CAC guests in order to maintain our perfect record of operating CoVid free! ALL travelers to Alaska must complete a Travel Declaration Form and a Self-Isolation Plan in the Alaska Travel Portal at: www.alaska.covidsecureapp.com. Any person currently positive with COVID-19 cannot travel to Alaska until they have been released from isolation, or cleared for travel, by a medical provider or public health agency. Upon testing negative, travelers must upload their results to the Alaska Travel Portal and also present the official results to KTN HSS at the airport, AND, to Captain Rob upon arrival. Travelers are then allowed to move freely within Alaska and aboard the Saltery “C” while still minimizing exposure, social distancing, and wearing masks/face coverings where and when appropriate. A second test is required within Alaska between 7 to 14 days… IF travelers leave the State of Alaska before 7 days then a second test is not required.
Request a CoVid 19 test from your Doctor or health care provider OR guests may request the CoVid 19 “At Home Test” by Pixel (LabCorp) to be conducted 72 hours prior to departure to Alaska. For those of you that don’t have a local clinic or hospital connection that’s available in your area or there isn’t a safe or convenient location, I suggest looking into one of these FDA approved CoVid-19 At Home Test Kits:

2) Everlywell COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit: https://www.everlywell.com/products/covid-19-test/
Travelers to Alaska don’t have to quarantine after they arrive as long as they can show they have had a recent negative PCR test for COVID-19 (within 72 hours). Alaska has some of the lowest numbers of COVID-19 cases in the country, and we all would like to keep it that way.
